I can tell you more about myself. Fair Warning: We could be here a while. Haha I am an avid traveler. You could say I’ve always had a bit of wanderlust. If I can get away for an extended weekend or sometimes just over night, you can bet I am. I love the beach and getting consumed by the simplicities of “island time”. I love the thought provoking architecture and history in Europe. I am mesmerized by the glaciers in the north. I could find an adventure anywhere.
I’m outgoing and outspoken. I’m a Libra man if that means anything to you. I’m Danish, Born and Raised in Copenhagen, I came to the US at the age of 13, I got my bachelors and completed in University of New York and I got a few other few other degrees in safety from Georgetown College Kentucky, I played softball at Georgetown as well. I worked under my RN licenses for 8 months and was miserable. My uncle who raised me as his own) passed during my first 2 weeks and I don’t think I ever had time to grieve before being thrown back into 18hr rotations. I left nursing and took a hiatus to focus on school, I acquired a MSc in Human And Environmental Safety (HSE) in Columbia university, New York.
Through networking I slipped into an Oil drilling part time role with my current company that quickly escalated. I’m now a Safety consultant, my job is not quite an easy task but harder to maintain, but I try to give it my all when I’m working. I spend most time on contract amongst various rigs, making sure people and working equipments are free from danger, fire outbreaks are water outbreaks, two major cases in rigs.
I am completely passionate about what I do. I work..a lot but thankfully can do it from almost anywhere. I have managed a work/home balance for the most part. My role in our company also includes safety/OSHA/compliance as well.
